OUR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS
SRHR Workshop For Gender Equality
Mildheart Care Foundation, in partnership with MenEngage Nigeria Network, held an engaging SRHR workshop with NYSC corps members, focusing on Gender-Based Violence and Positive Masculinity. Through interactive sessions, participants explored harmful gender norms, learned the importance of empathy and respect, and developed practical ideas to promote gender equality in their communities. This workshop reinforced our belief that young people are key agents of change in building safer, more inclusive societies.
Boys Will Not Just Be Boys Outreach
As part of the 16 Days of Activism, we collaborated with MenEngage Nigeria Network to host an outreach focused on promoting positive masculinity and ending gender-based violence. Through games, storytelling, and meaningful dialogue, we engaged boys and girls in challenging stereotypes and embracing respect and equality. This initiative reminded us that change starts with conversations and that boys can be allies, leaders, and champions for a violence-free future.
Empowered; Adolescent Self-Development Outreach
On May 17, we held our EMPOWERED outreach to support adolescents in making informed, healthy choices. Through open conversations on consent, menstrual hygiene, and healthy masculinity, young people gained knowledge and confidence to take charge of their sexual and reproductive health. With the support of our amazing facilitators and partners, it was a moment of growth, learning, and connection. This brings us closer in our pursuit of raising a generation that is informed, empowered, and ready to thrive.
